The Persepolis, one of the capitals of the Achaemenian Empire (550-330 BC) is located near Shiraz in Fars (Persia) province in the south west of Iran

The Persepolis construction began during the reign of Darius I around 518 BC.  After Darius I, The work on The Persepolis carried over by other Achamenian kings.  More buildings and palaces were added to this magnificent, the state of the art and fabulous large complex of various palaces by them

From 1931 through 1939, Ernest Herzfeld and Erich F.Schmidt under the sponsorship of the Oriental Institute of Chicago University planned and initiated the modern scientific expedition on persepolis terrace.  They invited architects Friedrich Krefter and Karl Bergner to participate in the excavation process

Friedrich Krefter was the first to reconstruct Persepolis trough his accurate and scientific drawing and perspectives.  In recent years, ever-increasing advances in 3D computer visualization soft wares, has motivated some researchers and enthusiasts to create virtual reconstruction of the Persepolis palaces

What you are about to see on this website is the result of eleven years of hard work on creating a real three dimensional scale model of reconstructed Persepolis.  The scale of the model is 1:75 and the actual size of the model is about 30 square meters
