The Persepolis, one of the capitals of the Achaemenian Empire (550-330 BC) is located near Shiraz in Fars (Persia) province in the south west of Iran. The Persepolis construction began during the reign of Darius I around 518 BC.  After Darius I, The work on The Persepolis carried over by other Achamenian kings.  More buildings and palaces were added to this magnificent complex.

What you are about to see on this website is the result of fourteen years of hard work on creating a real three dimensional scale model of reconstructed Persepolis.  The scale of the model is 1:75 and the actual size of the model is about 20 square meters. The model is mainly made of plaster and reinforced with resins.
